HIKING
The coastal paths, which run along the entire Costa Brava, are unique due to their characteristics. They are well signposted, and you can do stretches and parts with different levels of difficulty with a landscape that combines the sea, rocks, plant life, beaches and large and small fishermen’s villages. This possibility attracts visitors from all over the world, and is essential for dedicated hikers as well as those who wish to enjoy a pleasant stroll. More
CYCLE TOURISM AND BTT
The Baix Empordà region has various options so that you can discover it from two wheels. You can choose between pleasant family rides, on paths that are exclusively for cycle tourism, or you can take more demanding routes on BTT or on road bikes. WATER ACTIVITIES
Summer is made for enjoying the sea, Hotel Es Furió, at just 20 metres from the beach, is ideal for being able to make the most of it.
Kayak: In addition to the traditional activities, you can discover sea kayak excursions, they are safe and easy, with routes for experienced kayak users as well as for beginners and families. Scuba-diving and snorkelling: The seabed at Tamariu is perfect for practising underwater activities. If you are a qualified scuba diver, you can explore the area by diving at the spectacular “Canons de Tamariu”, full of common sea fans. If you have never tried it, experience the sensation of breathing underwater by taking an initial immersion or discover underwater life by snorkelling with the family. HERITAGE AND CULTURE. The Empordà region has historically been a crossroad of cultures, from which it preserves an architectural heritage, as well as the creative character and enthusiasm for all kinds of cultural statements. From the far-reaching offer, we would mention, as part of the architectural heritage, the Mediaeval Villages Route which includes Pals, Peratallada and Palau Sator, as well as the Greco-Roman ruins of Empúries. Nor should we forget the areas dedicated to two of the most universal Empordà characters: the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres and the route of the Empordà author, Josep Pla.
